The shortcut version of the Morning Loop exists for a very simple reason – that is, it is only 1.5 miles. If you want to do 1.5 miles to accomplish a distance, then this is the loop for you. What, you thought this variant of the Morning Loop would be flat and without any hills whatsoever? Of course not. While I’m certain that you expected a shorter and easier variant of a loop to have less elevation, the part that you cut short in this variant is the flat part.
