Running long distances, particularly those in excess of eleven miles, may start to feel a little restrictive if you limit yourself to only following the conventional routes at the parks. Throughout this guide, I have encouraged you to design your own routes and find what works best for you. Utilizing the trails at both Phipps Park and Maclay Gardens will allow you to encounter a broader landscape and experience a wider array of terrain. Once you've familiarized yourself with the trails I've highlighted on this website, it's now your turn to make up your own routes, whether by combining the distances, loops, and connector trails I've identified or by running whichever trails you choose. At this point, it is up to you. I hope you take advantage of all that the trails at Phipps Park and Maclay Gardens have to offer.
