Review
This route is like a baby version of any of the longer Phipps Park side focused routes. Instead of running out to Gate B and doing some complex mixture of lengthy Lakes and Cash-ins, you go out to Gate B, and do one half mile.
The vast majority of this route is only the heavily tread main trails that lead to Gate B. In truth, this route is downright uninspired, plain, and simplistic. But as we all know, you do not choose routes to run as an artistic statement. You choose your routes to run because you will physically tread them.
For that purpose, the singular Half Mile Loop serves its purpose well. The singular half mile is easy, quick, and an experienced runner will barely think when doing such a loop. There are very few downsides to this loop. All of the trails are so commonly tread that any complaint leveraged against them would be an offense to running at Phipps Park itself. The only substantive complaint that one could have regarding this loop is that the half-mile is a poorly maintained loop in some parts. To this criticism, I must remind the reader that you are doing the poorly maintained part of the loop for a meager 0.2-miles.
In sum, this simple loop is an easy way to complete 3 miles, nothing more, nothing less.
